Getting ready to go camping again with my family. This is always a great time of the year for me. I love seeing my family and catching up on what they are doing. I'll try to post pictures once we get there.

Busby/Goodman Reunion

Well, we just got back from a fun filled week in the White Mountains. I don't know why I love that place so much. It is really beautiful and it is great to be able to spend time with nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, and everyone else. I'm glad we have finally "graduated " to a motor home; it makes things much nicer. This year there were about 200 people there! We and Marilyn's family did the dinner on Friday night. Jim did Busby barbecue and beans. Marilyn did salad, potatoes, and dessert. We had a wonderful slide show on Saturday night with slides of the twins. Ramona made us a nice song book with old songs from Grammy and Ethel. Tina Bryce made us all a nice little wooden plaque about family, and Malcolm's family made a really neat design of Piper Cub airplane for t-shirts for all of us. It was a really great trip. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grows every time I am with my family. Well, I've been trying for an hour to upload an image, but it isn't to be this time. Maybe someone can call and walk me through this. Charmaine

Here in New Jersey

Well, here we are in New Jersey. Candace and Al left this a.m. for 8 days in Cancun. I think it is important for parents to go away together, and I have always been grateful to Grampy that he was willing to watch our kids so we could go to the New York Life council meetings. I think time away strengthens a marriage.

We are looking forward to this week with the kids. Kirsten (Sissie) is here and is taking us all to a Yankees game on Tuesday. I know how excited my dad would have been to be able to be in Yankee stadium. He loved the Yankees. We are especially happy to go this last time since they will be tearing down the stadium after this season. Thanks to Kirsten for her kindness.

I didn't bring my card reader, so I won't be posting any photos this trip, but will try to take some so I can post when I get home.

The weather here is cold and rainy, somewhat different from the clear and 95 in Arizona.

I hope to keep everyone up to date on this blog.

PS I have been in contact with Wendy and Dolores, and plans are progressing (slowly) for the Eathel/Ethel reunion in July in the White Mountains.
